Maximise your York City experience by eating out at one of the best York City Centre Restaurants. York City Centre boasts a vast array of Restaurants for every budget and every taste, from great takeaways to, quaint café’s and bistro’s, large carvery’s and hot buffets, to the finest restaurants Yorkshire has to offer.
As with every tourist destination, there is a small element of establishments that cater solely for tourists, but generally York City Centre Restaurants offer great customer care and have regular local clientele.
All tastes are catered for in York City Centre, suiting it’s visitors from across the globe. There are many fine Chinese restaurants of which I would recommend the Jade Garden, at last 3 Thai Restaurants – The Old Siam is especially good. There are numerous Mediterranean style eating places – mostly Italian, but there are also Greek, Spanish and French restaurants, my favourite being Toto’s Italian restaurant, Mamamia’s, The Go Down and the Lime House. If you are looking for tastes fore further afield why not try one of the Mexican, Japanese, or traditional American style food houses.
As you can imagine there are also many familiar chain restaurants in such a popular city, such as Ask, The Living Room, La Taska, Loch Fyne and Zizi’s, but the familiar chains are far outweighed by the excellent independent York City Centre Restaurants.
If a traditional restaurant is not to your taste, or is out of your budget, why not try one of the many local taverns of which the majority serve traditional good British food at very reasonable prices. Most of the pubs take bookings but this is not usually necessary. My favourites in the City Centre are The Golden Lion, The Golden Fleece, The Hole in The Wall, and The Old White Swan.
Perhaps you are looking for food on the go – or to finish your evening off in style? There are many other options than eating out at a York City Centre Restaurants. Why not try one of the many traditional pie shops or bakeries, these are all of good quality. In all York offers an abundance of great eating out alternatives if it is not one of the York City Centre Restaurants there will certainly be something else to suit you.
